(STATEHOUSE) - Democrats have recaptured the Indiana House after two years in the minority.
Democrats needed to pick up three seats to gain a majority. They'll get at least that, and possibly as many as five.
Vincennes republican Troy Woodruff, who cast the deciding vote for Daylight Saving Time, lost his seat to teacher Kreg Battles, while three former legislators returned to the general assembly: former Representatives Ron Herrell of Kokomo and David Cheatham of North Vernon, and former Senator Nancy Dembowski. She'll be in the house this time after defeating Culver Republican Steve Heim.
