Statehouse Changes Changes

Last updated on Wednesday, August 9, 2006

(STATEHOUSE) - There have now been changes made to the changes announced for the hours the public would be allowed inside the Indiana Statehouse.

Last week, signs went up declaring the building would be locked on weekends. Now, Indiana Department of Administration Deputy Commissioner Brian Renner says building hours will be limited on weekends, but tours will still be conducted.

Renner says a new card access system gives his department unprecedented control over who gets into the building at what times. He says the building's hours will now fall more in line with the hours business is conducted.
