(MADISON) - A Madison lawyer has been suspended from practice for 60 days for failing to file a lawsuit she was hired by a client to handle.
Heidi Kendall-Sage told her client six years later that the case had been settled for $10,000.
Kendall-Sage paid her client the money, but the client grew suspicious and found out the lawsuit had never been filed.
In addition to the suspension, Kendall-Sage paid her client $165,000 to settle a malpractice suit.
