(UNDATED) - Indiana Congressman Mike Sodrel recently toured towns near the United States - Mexico border.
The 9th District Republican went to Chula Vista, California and Nogales, Arizona to gain a better understanding of the illegal immigration problem.
Sodrel supports video surveillance rather than new infrastructure or increased border patrols to keep illegal immigrants from coming into our country.
He believes the country has to secure the border before passing any new immigration laws. It's a task the congressman calls daunting but not impossible.
