(EVANSVILLE) - Democratic Congressional Candidate Brad Ellsworth is slamming Eighth District Representative John Hostettler for Saturday’s vote against a bill to increase the minimum wage.
House Republican leaders linked a minimum wage hike to abolition of the estate tax.
The bill passed along mostly party lines. Hostettler and Sixth District Representative Mike Pence were among 21 Republicans who broke ranks to vote no, while just 34 Democrats voted yes. Senate Democrats have vowed to kill the bill.
