State Budget 1/3-Bil In The Black

(STATEHOUSE) - Indiana’s year-end accounting confirms the state balanced its budget for the first time in eight years and Governor Daniels says that makes full-day kindergarten his top priority in next year’s legislature.
Governor Daniels has been saying the state's fiscal picture would probably be good enough to pursue full-day kindergarten.
Now that the state has chalked up a $371-million-dollar surplus for the just-ended fiscal year, Daniels says it's definite, though he says budgeters should still play it tight.
