State Republicans Pledging For Permanent Health Benefits

(STATEHOUSE) - House Republicans are pledging to seek the permanent repeal of lifetime health benefits for former representatives.
Speaker Brian Bosma already revoked the benefit, effective next year. But he or any other speaker could reverse that decision.
About 50 of the GOP's 77 House candidates joined Bosma to promise support for a bill to make it permanent.
Any bill would have to pass the senate too, and leaders there have defended the benefit. Bosma says at least the senate has made its position clear.
