(UNDATED) - Indiana Senator Evan Bayh is asking the Bush Administration to allow the IRS to increase the gas tax deduction for business-related expenses.
Bayh says there's a precedent for increasing the gas tax deduction, it was temporarily increased after Hurricane Katrina.
Bayh is asking the IRS to increase the current reimbursement from 44-cents to 48-cents a mile.
