State Voter ID OK With Judge
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - U.S. Judge Sarah Evans Barker ruled that Indiana’s new voter identification law does not infringe on anyone’s right to cast a ballot.
Plaintiffs had argued that the law would unfairly affect people who might have trouble obtaining a photo ID.
Barker ruled that they had not produced evidence that a single person would be denied a vote.
She called the suit a continuation of the partisan fight in the legislature.
The Democratic Party says it will definitely appeal.
