(UNDATED) - Two lawsuits are now moving through the court system against the “Major Moves” legislation.

Both are receiving monetary assistance from the owner-operators independent trucking association (OOIDA). An OOIDA spokesman says more than 65,000 of its 139,000 members across the country have contributed money for the legal challenge.

The lawsuits seek to block an already signed lease of the Indiana toll road to a Spanish/Australian firm. The state is set to get close to four billion dollars from that lease. Officials with OOIDA say this is a bad deal that will cost the trucking industry millions of dollars in toll and maintenance hikes.
