Bayh Wants New Medicare Deadline Extended

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - In a letter signed by 47 U.S. Senators, Indiana Senator Evan Bayh is asking Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist to extend the Medicare prescription drug deadline to the end of 2006.
Bayh is concerned seniors have not been adequately informed on the choices available. Bayh wants seniors to have additional time to make a smart decision.
As it now stands, those who do not sign up for a Medicare package by May 15th will be financially penalized.
