Toll Road Lease Still Not Signed

STATEHOUSE—The bill authorizing Governor Daniels’ Toll Road Lease is still being reworked.
Legislators and Gov. Daniels' office had indicated they had a deal, but the lead negotiators on the bill canceled a morning news conference to discuss it.
House Speaker Brian Bosma says what he calls some minor provisions are still being hammered out to secure the necessary votes. He says he doesn't expect any support from House Democrats. That would mean Republicans can only afford one defection, Winona Lake Republican David Wolkins, who said previously he'd vote no, is declining comment.
