Governor To Pursue Full-Day Kindergarten
(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Daniels says he’s confident the state will have enough money next year to pursue full-day kindergarten.
Daniels announced last week he'd make full-day kindergarten a top priority in next year's legislature. He's previously said he supported the idea, but that the state needed to balance its budget first. With three months left in the fiscal year, the state appears likely to do that, but only barely.
Daniels says another year of revenue should put the state in postiion to do full-day kindergarten in 2007.
