Draft Proposal On Toll Road Bill Expected Thursday
(STATEHOUSE) - The chairman of the legislative panel trying to hammer out a final version of the Toll Road Bill hopes to circulate a draft proposal Thursday.
Ft. Wayne Rep. Randy Borror has asked other legislators to submit any compromise ideas by the end of the day Wednesday.
The first conference committee meeting revealed a couple of areas where negotiators might troll for votes. Northwest Indiana legislators want to tweak the formula for parceling out toll road lease proceeds to local government. Evansville-area legislators and businesses are clashing over how to handle the planned I-69 extension.
