STATEHOUSE—The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is sending state lawmakers a letter updating its position on telecommunications reform.
The Chamber is urging lawmakers to pass Senate Bill 245 and House Bill 1279 and says it is changing its position on statewide video franchising provisions included in the bill from neutal to supportive.
The Chamber says it has reviewed informaiton showing that video franchising would save Hoosiers between $131-million to $262-million annually and now believes it is the right thing to do.
