STATEHOUSE—Critics of the Governor’s Major Moves legislation are wondering if there are similairties between the U.S. Port controversy and the lease of the Indiana Toll Road to a foreign firm.
If anything, Governor Mitch Daniels says controversy over an Arab country taking over the mangement of the Ports is an endorsement of his plan.
He says the situation people want to preserve with regard to the Ports deal is with a European-based operator.
Daniels says this is exactly what Indiana would have if Major Moves would become law.
