STATEHOUSE—The Indiana House has passed a bill that would move ISTEP testing to the spring, this despite a plea not to do so from Republican State Schools Superintendent Suellen Reed.
The bill passed by a 52-47 vote.
Gary Democrat Vernon Smith, a co-author on the bill, voted against it.
Smith says he wasn't given the opportunity to ask questions about some funding and time line concerns.
