STATEHOUSE—At least one State Representative wants a special hearing to discuss Governor Daniels’ proposed “Major Moves” initiative.

David Crooks (D-Washington) says he'd like to postpone the vote scheduled for this week on the measure. Crooks says many of his constituents have written him letters saying they're uneasy about the plan and have many unanswered questions.

Crooks says he's not coming out against Major Moves, but he'd like to get answers for his constituents from Daniels before he votes.

Crooks likens holding special hearings on the proposal to a company gathering its shareholders before making a major financial decision within a company.
