LAWRENCE COUNTY—Lawrence County folks are deeply troubled that politicians in Washington take outlandish stands in order to gain appearances on TV news programs.
Late, a number have been critical of our troops. This reporter asked Diane Jost who resides on Mall Ridge how she thinks those politicians affect the morale of our Armed Forces.
Diane replied:
"It affects them greatly.
"The politicians represent the people: the military is part of the people. The military helped elect the politicians.
"How would you feel if you voted for a representative and he is critical of your service... a service they take an oath to protect?"
Jennifer Bartlett who lives in Orleans was also asked how she thinks critical politicians affect the morate of our Armed Forces.
Jennifer shared:
"The troops morale? It probably makes them feel pretty low: probably makes them feel not supported."
