If you burn wood for heat in a furnace you will want to try and save your independent source of heat from strangling regulation.

Whenever the government says it needs to regulate something you have to be suspicious of what motivates them. People also have to realize that not only the legislature makes laws but there are unelected officials that make laws through what is called the "Administrative Rule Making Process" and they can be just as deadly.

My brother-in-law has a wood burning furnace and he received a notice from his manufacturer that the big utility companies are trying to outlaw them. He called me. I called them and low and behold there is already in process the public input segment of a rule changing process that started back on December 1st--the average citizen would never know--the public input ends January 3rd.

There are now petitions at both Smoke Stack locations:

  • 1424 L Street, Bedford, IN
  • 2317 Mitchell Road, Bedford, IN

You can stop by and sign these petitions before January 3rd, 2006.
