Daniels says to move on
STATEHOUSE—Governor Mitch Daniels is calling for State lawmakers to put aside the time zone debate.
The Governor says state leaders need to put the issue behind them and move on to other subjects. Daniels called Legislative proposals to hold State Referendums on the issue a bad idea, noting that every county had a chance to petition the Federal Government for a time zone change.
The U.S. Department of Transportation is expected to rule by January on the requests of 17 counties to switch to Central Time.
