The following obituaries were received for Saturday -
David R. Couch - Bedford
David R. Couch age 76 of Bedford, passed away on March 21, 2013 at 2:16 am at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 11, 1936 in Warrick County to Rev. Edward Couch & Florence (Garrison) Couch. David married Helen Eagan on December 22, 1956 in Bedford and she survives. He worked at Extruded Alloys in Bedford and was a lifetime member of the Bedford Boat & Sportsman's Club, and also was a member
of Bedford Moose Lodge #689.
Survivors include his wife; Helen Couch, of Bedford, children: Greg Couch and wife Lisa, of Bedford, LeeAnn Anderson, of Bedford, David Couch and wife Angi, of Bedford; grandchildren; Brooke Nicholson, Megan Bailiff, Shelbi Anderson, Heather Couch, Matthew Couch, Logan Couch, Nolan Couch, Adisyn Couch; great grandchildren; Avery, Braxton, Macy and Brilyn.
David was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Murphy; two brothers, Ted Couch abd Phillip Couch
Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 25, 2013 at 1 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home
Friends may call on Sunday March 24, 2013 from 2 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home and on Monday from 11 am until service time.
Pall Bearers will be David Anderson, Clayton Anderson, Dave Stalker, Rob Couch, Ed Couch & James Holtsclaw
Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Carlos B. "Smitty" Smith - Bedford
Carlos B. "Smitty" Smith, 88, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 11:30 p.m. at Stonebridge Health Campus, Bedford.
Born April 30, 1924 in Daviess County, IN, he was the son of Everett and Vina (Lamb)
Smith. He married Juanita R. Kimmel on July 31, 1943 in Bedford, IN; she preceded him in death on November 4, 1999. He was a service man for Coca-Cola in Bedford for 43-1/2 years. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ for many years, and was also a Mason for many years.
Surviving are his daughter, Carlita and husband Larry McClung, of Bedford; his son, Thomas Dean Smith and with Lana, of Mitchell; two grandchildren, Holly and husband Ryan Mills and Amanda and husband Brad Totten; two great-grandchildren, Garrett Bradley Totten and Ezra Scott Mills; one brother, Lavern Smith and wife Lois, of Bedford; one niece, Julia and husband Mike Johnson; and one nephew, Larry Smith and wife Yvonne Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and one grandson, Aaron Scott McClung.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Ferguson-
Lee Funeral Home, with Bro. Clovis Parsley officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill
Friends may call on Monday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites held at 7 p.m.
