Harold F. Cormack - Mitchell

Harold F. Cormack, 58, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011, at his residence.

Born March 7, 1953, in Huntington Beach, California, he was the son of Harold Francis
and Marilyn (Congdon) Cormack.

He was an automotive technician. He loved his family, loyal dog companion, Czier
Conrad Cormack, animals, fishing, and NASCAR. He flew RCA airplanes and raced
remote controlled cars.

Surviving: his wife, LaDonna Rose Cormack, of Mitchell; daughters, Kristal Donn Cormack, of Evansville; , Karen Rosalyn Cormack, of Evansville and Sharon Tabor Gardier, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; granddaughter, Kennady Kayrose Cormack; sisters, Diane Cormack and Marian Rolfs, of Washington, DC

Preceding him in death were his father; mother Marilyn Bryant; and brother, David Cormack.

Cremation was chosen. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Michael Elwood Evans,- Orleans

Micheal Elwood Evans is survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Ethel Grace Evans,of Bedford, Gladys (John) Ponzini, of Bedford, Carol (Tom) Irwin, of Muncie Larry (Linda) Evans, of Paoli; sisters-in- law, Rosie Evans,of Mitchell, Shirley Evans Kilhorn, of Orleans

His parents; brothers, Dan Evans, Gerald Evans, and Haskell Evans; and sister, Edna
Bagley, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, in the Memorial Chapel

of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Kilhorn officiating. Burial will be in
Fairview Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion
Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on
Tuesday at the funeral home.

Brian L. Pridemore - MItchell

Brian L. Pridemore, 43, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Thursday evening at his residence.

Born in Bedford, he was the son of Leon "Buck" and Barbara (Eisele) Pridemore. He
married Deborah S. Stogdill January 29, 1989.

He was a truck driver for Hancock Trucking Company. Brian graduated from Mitchell
High School in 1986 and attended the Bride of Christ Fellowship.

Surviving: daughter, Megan Pridemore, of Bedford; granddaughter, Jaylyn Diana Staggs; half brother, Adrian Pridemore, of Mitchell; wife, Deborah Pridemore, of Bedford

His parents, and half brother, Dennis Pridemore, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, in the Memorial Chapel
of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Mark Fish officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell
Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Gordan Wayne Howell - Mitchell

Gordan Wayne Howell, 70, of Mitchell, and formerly of Shoals, died Saturday, September 17, 2001 at 5 a.m. at his home in Mitchell.

Gordan was born may 5, 1941, in Shoals, Indiana. He is the son of Gordon and Faye (Cessna) Howell. He married Nancy Schvonn Runyon in 2004 in Mitchell, Indiana. and she survives.

Gordon retired from Crane N.A. D. and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United State Army. He was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church, American Legion Post 61 in Shoals, American Legion Post 250 in Mitchell and Mitchell V.F.W. Post 9107. He graduated from Shoals High School in 1959.

Surviving are his wife Nancy "Bonnie" Howell, of Mitchell; one sister Rachel Sween of Washington State; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m. at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the funeral home with urial at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Wanda F. (Cain) Scott - Williams

Wanda F. (Cain) Scott, 73, of Williams, died Thursday September 15, 2011 in Greenwood.

She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on February 20 1938 to Dale and Ines (Smith) Cain.

She was a member of Hopewell Baptist church.

She is survived by two daughters; Susan Leonard of Mitchell and Shannon Palmer of Osgood; one brother Danny Cain of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Rogenia Richardson of Williams and Vivian Hawkins of Sanders; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and infant son Thomas Dale Scott; sister Ronda Chambers.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Heltonville. Burial will follow in Bartlettsville Christian Cemetery with Brother Mitchell Harrell officiating.

Pamela Diane Burch - Bedford

Pamela Diane Burch, of Bedford, died Friday, September 16, 2011, at 4:25 a.m. at Garden villa, in Bedford.

Pamela was born May 6, 1951 in Bedford Indiana. She is the daughter of Charles Curtis and Mary Ellen (Kern) Burch.

She worked at RCA Bloomington and later at the 3-D Store in Bedford and was later disabled. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1969 and attended Oakland City University, in Oakland City, Indiana.

She is survived by a sister; Beverly (Robert) Grey of Indianapolis; two brothers, James "Jim" (Lynn) Burch of Bedford and Greg Burch of Noblesville, Indiana.; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Barbara Susan Burch.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville Community Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday, September 19, 2011, from noon until service at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.

Shirley Libby (Mills) Owen - Bedford

Shirley Libby (Mills) Owen, 88, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at 4:43 a.m. at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.

Shirley was born November 15, 1922 in Libertyville, Illinois to Lewis and Esther Mills.
She married Frank Owen on December 31, 1942 in Libertyville, Illinois and he survives.

Shirley attended Purdue University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; Tri Kappa; Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR); PanHellenic; Lawrence County Historical Society; Volunteer tutor for the Adult Literacy Program; Founder of Bedford High School Booster Club; Purdue Alumni.

Surviving is her husband of 69-years Frank Owen; son Howard Owen and his wife Karen, of Austin, Texas; their children Shirley's grandchildren, Jeffrey , Steven, Scott, Blake Owen and Tiffany Miller adn their children Shirley's great-grandchildren, Laney and Riley Owen and Ethan and Kalen Miller; son, Mark and his wife Elizabeth, of Columbus, Ohio and their children, Shirley's grandchildren, Katherine Wenigmann and Lisa Kelso; daughter, Fran Bond of Beford, Indiana; and her children, Shriley's grandchildren, Maggie Harrell and Mollie Bond; siblings James Mills and wife, Lavon, of Georgetown, Texas; Carol Lou Heskin and her husband, Eugene, of Culver City, California; and Jeanne Cook of Ridgefield, Connecticut.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Mills; sister Nancy Grauberger and son-in-law Larry Bond.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend mark McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson-lee Funeral Home and on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, one hour prior to service at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Shirley Libby Owen to the First Presbyterian Church or the Lawrence County Historical Museum.
