The following obituaries were received on Monday.

Barbara J. Guthrie - Heltonville
Barbara J. Guthrie of Heltonville passed away on Friday, December 3rd at Westview Man at the age of 71. Born in 1939 in Bedford to George and Eileen Jenkins, she was a graduate of Bedford High School, worked at the Older Americans and had been married to Frank Guthrie for 15 years. She is survived by two daughters, Alice Childers and her husband Ernest and Helen Hess and her husband Eric; one son, David Guthrie and his wife Alice; two brothers, Tom Jenkins and his wife Linda and Jim Jenkins and his wife Mary; one sister, Loretta Barris and her husband John; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation was chosen and a graveside committal will be held at a later date.

Nancy L. Jolley - Mitchell
Nancy L. Jolley of Mitchell passed away on Saturday, December 4th at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 79. Born in 1930 in Lawrence County to Robert M. and Mattie Terrell, she had been married to Clyde Jolley since 1957, was employed at Ewing Insurance and Dunbar Insurance Agencies. Nancy was also a graduate of Mitchell High School in the class of 1948 and was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by one daughter, Anita Thomas and her husband, Steve; one son, Jeff Jolley and his wife, Sissy; one brother, William Terrell; one sister, Sue McIntyre; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Judith Hopkins; brothers, Robert Terrell and Keith Terrell; as well as sisters, Laura Smith and Doretta Scott. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, December 8th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Tuesday and from 9:30AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
