Bonnie Silvers - Oolitic
Bonnie Silvers of Oolitic passed away Monday evening, July 19th at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 61. Born in 1949 in Bedford to Luther and Sena Strunk, she had been married to Ronald Silvers since 1965, was a cook with North Lawrence community School System and was employed at Oolitic. She was a member of the First Church of God and worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship for over 25 years. She was survived by her husband, Ronald; two sons, Ron Silvers and his wife Jayne, Jon Silvers and his wife Cathy; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, July 23rd at the First Church of God with burial to follow in Springville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, July 22nd and from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Friday, July 23rd.

Andrew Ralph Stepp - Bedford
Andrew Ralph Stepp of Bedford passed away Monday evening, July 19th at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 89. Born in 1920 at Black Mountain to Ernest and Selma Stepp, traveled with Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus Performances and worked for Roots Plumbing and Klein Lumber Co. He is survived by sisters, Elsa Wheeler, Jo Stepp-Shelton, Mildred Ebron and Bertha Miller; brothers, Oliver Stepp and Lester Stepp as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ernest Howard and Hardy Stepp; four sisters, Cora Leeper, Helen Cates-Brown, Sadie Hicks and Marcele Hogue-Harris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, July 23rd at Second Baptist Church with burial to follow. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Friday, July 23rd at Second Baptist Church.
