The following death notices were received for Thursday.
Don W. Caudell
Don W. Caudell, 82, Mitchell, passed away at 2:12pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 7, 1928, in Flat Rock, Indiana, he was the son of Wilson Franklin and Bessie Caudell. He married Marian Elizabeth Holmes June 30, 1952, and she preceded him in death March 20, 1999.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a 65 year member of American Legion Post No. 250.
Survivors include a brother, sons Don, Kurt, Kelly and Klay, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am Saturday, April 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Hopkins and Rev. Bill Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1907.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00pm Friday and from 9:00am until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Orlando Frederick Bierbaum
Orlando Frederick Bierbaum, 93, of Bedford, died at 2:30am on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at his residence.
Born July 31, 1916 in Warrenton, MO, the son of Heinrick W. and Mary Sophia Bierbaum. He married Faye Marie Hensley on September 27, 1941 in Portsmouth, VA and she preceded him in death on August 4, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Robert D. Bierbaum and wife, Jane, of the Buddha community in Bedford; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kenny Dalton and Chris Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Erie Cemetary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by the Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, April 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Joy Anna Beaver
Joy Anna Beaver, 88, of Bedford, died at 4:25am on Thursday, April 1st at Core Nursing Home in Bedford. Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
