Betty Jo Rhorer of Bedford passed away Saturday evening, February 6th at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 83.
Born in 1926 in Chickasaw, Oklahoma to parents, Carmel Dale Whitaker and Stella (Moss) Whitaker Watson, she had been married to Frederick W. Rhorer since 1945.
Betty was a homemaker, had managed Buy-Low Health and Beauty Aids for nine years, was a graduate of Pocasset High School in the class of 1944 and was of Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Linda J. Hacker, Janet Kay Williams and Janice Fay McIntyre; one son, Stephen M. Rhorer; as well as several grandchildren; one twin sister, Billie Jean Besette; one half-brother Carmen Whitaker and one half-sister Wanda Roe.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 1:00PM at Ferguson - Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, February 10th at Ferguson - Lee Funeral Home.
