Kenneth Courtright, 70, Mitchell

Kenneth E. Courtright of French Lick, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 16th at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 70.

Born in 1939 in Orange County to parents Chester and Margie (Robbins) Courtright, he had been married to Linda Alvey May since 1959.

Kenneth was the owner and operator of Courtright Sawmill, was a member of the Lumbermen's Association, was a former area supervisor at Koppers Industires, graduated of Shoals High School in the class of 1956 and was a member of the American Checkers Association and seven-time Indiana State Championship.

He is survived by his wife; his mother; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Zehr and her husband Jake, Penny Ann Robbins and her husband Tony; several grandchildren; one brother, James Courtright and a sister, Judy Felts and her husband Charles.

He was preceded in death by his father. Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon, January 19th at Mitchell Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
