Robert W. Johnston, 92, Bedford

Robert W. Johnston of Bedford passed away Wednesday morning at Garden Villa in Bedford at the age of 92.

Born in 1916 in Greensburg to Walter and Elizabeth Johnston, Robert worked for Hoosier Public Energy, Public Service Indiana, was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea, and member of Greensburg Masonic Lodge, Greensburg Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Valley of indianapolis, Chambers of Commerce for Bedford, Batesville and Rushville, Kiwanis, Lions Club, Elks Lodge, Amrican Legion, and served on the Bedford Plan Commission and Bedford Urban Enterprise Association.

He is survived by his daughter Sue, son Roger, one granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Charlotte, and brother Richard.

Services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00pm Saturday at Day & Carter.
