Lyle E. Roberts, 86, Bedford

Lyle E. Roberts of Bedford passed away this morning at his home at the age of 86.

Born in 1922 in Lawrence County to Hobert and Naomi Roberts, Lyle was a retired machine operator at McIntyre Bros., and Army Air Force veteran of World War II, National Guard veteran, and member of Leatherwood Christian Church, and Operating Engineers Local #181 in Evansville.

He is survived by his wife Wanda, sons Eace and Randy, daughter Dana, brother Justin, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Mary, son Rodger, brother Lowell, sister Mary, 1 grandson and 1 great granddaughter.

Services will be held Saturday morning at the Leatherwood Christian Church with burial to follow at Leatherwood Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be tomorrow from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home and again from 10:00am until time of service Saturday at the church.
