Wanda L. Stigall, 79, Bedford

Wanda L. Stigall of Bedford passed away Friday at the University of Louisville Hospital at the age of 79.

Born in 1929 in Mitchell to Andrew and Ruby Houchin, Wanda worked at Spring Mill Inn in Mitchell, Sarkes-Tarzian, RCA, and Westinghouse in Bloomington, Tuscon International Airport in Tuscon, Arizona, and at Stone City Products in Bedford, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #654 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughters Gwen, Kathy, Mona and Becky, 8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hayden, brothers Jim, Paul, Clyde, Charles, Max, Eugene and Elmer, and sisters Pearl, Lula, Chlorine, Maxine and Anna Mae.

Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Patton Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm today, and again from 11:00am until time of service tomorrow, at Day & Carter.
