James William Fisher, 93, Bedford

James William Fisher of Bedford passed away Tuesday night at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 93.

Born in 1915 in Wheaton, Illinois to William and Augusta Fisher, James was an Army veteran of World War II, security guard for General Motors, assistant manager for Loudens Grocery and Thrifty Mart, and member of St. John's Episcopal Church, and American Legion Gillen Post #33.

He is survived by his daughter Ann, son James, sister Evelyn, brother Ray, 1 grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Thelma, and 10 siblings.

Private services are scheduled at Beech Grove Cemetery with burial to follow.

Visitation will be tomorrow from 4:00 until 7:00pm at Day & Carter.
