John Way, 84, Bedford

John Way of Bedford passed away Wednesday night at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 84.

Born in 1924 in West Baden to William and Grace Way, John was a retiree of NSWC Crane, worked at Bender's Handy-Man's and Southern States Supply, was a Navy veteran of World War II, and member of Mid-Term Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter Barbara, son Kevin, brothers Paul, Jerry and Larry, sisters Wanda and Janet, half-brother William, step-brother Larry, 1 grandson and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Robert and sisters Margie, Wilma and Brenda.

Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 4:00 until 8:00pm and again from noon until time service Saturday at Day & Carter.
