Dr. Roscoe L. Gromer, 91, Orleans

Dr. Roscoe L. Gromer of Orleans, formerly of Mitchell, passed away yesterday morning at Bloomington Hospital of Orange County in Paoli at the age of 91.

Born in 1917 in Orange County to John and Carmie Gromer, Roscoe was a dentist for 50 years, army veteran of World War II, former Mitchell city councilman, president of the Mitchell Rotary Club, Paul Harris Fellow, and member of First Baptist Church of Orleans, Lawrence County Rock Club, Indiana and American Dental Associations, IU Alumni Association, and Delta Sigma Delta fraternity.

He is survived by his wife Juanita, step-daughter Tana, granddaughters Robin, and Tamara and great grandchildren R.J. And Luke.

He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Elnora, son James, sister Agnes and brother Carl.

Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00pm at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis with burial to follow.

Visitation will be tomorrow from 4:00 until 8:00pm and again from 9:00am until time of service Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home.
