Helen V. Grubb of Bedford passed away Monday night at Garden Villa in Bedford at the age of 85.
Born in 1922 in Avoca to Luther and Goldia Stafford, Helen worked at RCA in Bloomington for 20 years and for another 20 years at the Parkview Primary School kitchen, and was a member and board member of Oolitic Christian Church.
She is survived by her son Heubert, daughter Virginia, step-sons Jim and Gina, brother Gene, sister Rose, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband homer, sisters Marquerite, Roberta and Clara, brother Gordon and step-grandson Gary.
Services will be held Friday morning at 10:00am at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation is Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00pm and again from 9:00am until time of service Friday at Day & Carter.
