Ruth Fender, 93, Bedford

Ruth Fender of Bedford passed away Friday night at her home at the age of 93.

Born in 1915 in Lawrence County to Ellis and Ophie Fender, Ruth was a retired hairdresser and member of the National Hairdresser Association.

She is survived by her sister Kathleen, and several nieces and a nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Clovis, Ray, Eugene and John.

Graveside services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with burial to follow.

Visitation is from 11:00 until time of service.
