Milton "Smokey" Lynch, 76, Bloomington

Milton Lynch of Bloomington, known to friends and family as “Smokey,” passed away Sunday afternoon at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 76.

Born in 1931 in Martin County to Harry and Louisa Lynch, Smokey was a retiree of General Electric.

He is survived by his daughters Margaret, Connie and Nancy, sons John and Brian, brothers Leo and Marion, sister Edith, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Jane, daughters Linda and Matilda, brothers John, Keith, Harold, Donald, Harry Jr, Robert, Paul, Charles, and Freddie, sisters Anna and Mary, and one granddaughter.

Services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00am at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell with burial to follow at Bonds Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be tomorrow evening from 5:00 until 8:00pm and again from 9:00am until time of service Thursday at Chastain.
