Elbert A. Ritter, 86, Springville

Elbert A. Ritter of Springville, known to some as “Honey,” passed away Sunday morning at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.

Born in 1921 to Otto and Oma May Ritter, Elbert was a retiree of GM, Army veteran of World War II, and collector of Farmall tractors.

He is survived by his sons Roy and Jerry, daughter Susan, brothers Red, Joe and Otie, sisters Lucy and Dolly, 6 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ona Mae, sisters Evelyn and Mary Louise, and brother Bud.

Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Judah Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 3:00 until 8:00pm and again from 10:00am until time of service tomorrow at Day & Carter.
