Helen Olive Pentzer Denny, 94, Bedford

Helen Olive Pentzer Denny of Bedford passed away Friday morning at Garden Villa Nursing Home at the age of 94.

Born in 1913 in Bedford to Theodore and Gwendolen Pentzer, Helen was an English teacher at Lawrence Community Schools, homemaker, member of First Christian Church of Bedford, charter member of Little Theater of Bedford and held leadership roles in the Ludeans, Psi Iota Xi Sorority and the Girl Scouts of America.

She is survived by her sons John and Marc, daughters Susie and Julie, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Beanie, brother Theodore, sister Marian, and great grandchildren Chad and Molly.

Services were held this morning at 11:00am at First Christian Church in Bedford with burial following at Green Hill Cemetery.
