Raymond D. Cheek, 66, Heltonville

Raymond D. Cheek of Heltonville passed away Saturday evening at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 66.

Born in 1941 in Needmore to Roy and Winnie Cheek, Raymond served in the CIA, was assistant manager at Pfieffer Jewelry in Bedford, worked security at GM Powertrain, and was a life member of the Stone City Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police.

He is survived by his wife Diane, children Debra, Pratricia, Jackie Jr, and LaDonna, sisters Faye, Catheleen, and Connie, brothers frank, and dale, 3 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Effie, Mae and Ailene.

Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Dive Christian Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2:00 until 8:00pm and again tomorrow from 11:00am until time of servce at Day & Carter.
