Carol June Bell - Martinsville
Carol June Bell, 55, of Martinsville and formerly of Bedford, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, May 17 at her home.
Born on October 23, 1957 in Monticello, KY she was the daughter of Bob Davis and Madge (Edwards) Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Keens Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her father Bob Davis, of Monticello, KY; her husband. Jay Larry Bell, of Martinsville; one son: Jamie Bell and two daughters: Amanda Gregory and Samarol Bell all of Martinsville; her grandchildren: Mersades Bell, Michael Holt, Dason Bell, Matthew Holt, Whitley Bell, Mattie Gregory, Baylee Brenner, Devon Brenner, Abby Brenner, Glenn Head, Catie Head; one brother: Harold Davis of Florida; three Sisters: Ann Chriswell of Monticello, KY; Judy Stinson of Monticello, KY and Janet Barnes of Georgetown, KY.
She was preceded in death by her mother Madge Davis and one son: Larry Bell.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m.Tuesday, May 21 in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Roscoe Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Edward W. Frega, Jr. - Williams
Edward Walter "Ed" Frega, Jr. 78, of Williams, went to be with his Savior at 3:12 a.m. May 18, 2013 at Bloomington Hospital.
Ed was born June 7, 1934 in Maywood, IL, the son of Edward Walter and Lydia (Hintz) Frega. He attended school in Bellwood, IL and is a 1953 graduate of Proviso High School in Maywood, IL.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force serving in Germany and the Azores from 1954-1957. He is survived by his wife, Alice E. Knapp of 45 years, married May 4, 1968 in Westchester, IL. He worked for American Can Co. in Maywood, IL. After American Can, he was employed by Illinois Tool Works for 27 years as a contractor for the United States Navy. His work involved the towed array handling system on nuclear submarines and he was privileged to have worked on every U.S. Naval Base in the world. He followed the naval contract to Crane, IN to Chesapeake, VA and then to Middletown, RI being in each place for 4 years. He retired on July 19, 2002 and they decided to call Williams their home once again. Since moving to Williams in 1991, they have attended Calvary Lutheran Church in Bedford where Ed served on various committees. He was a dedicated member of the Bedford Rotary Club, as well as a board member of the Lawrence County Concert Association.
Surviving with his wife, Alice of Williams; is his daughter, Kimberly Dawn, of Cedarburg, WI; grandchildren, Teia Jordan, Isabel Coryn (Andrew) Passmore, Kellen Philip Batiansila, Samuel Jaden Harmer, Mason Alexander and Cooper Henry Edward Schultz, all of Cedarburg, WI; a great-granddaughtear Braelyn Yeva Passmore and a sister, Marilyn A. Frega of Lakeland, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Eugene Frega.
Visitation will be held at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Bedford on Tuesday, May 21 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. with memorial services being conducted at 3 p.m. where Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post #33. A dinner will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church.

Steaven R. Brown - Bedford
Steaven R. Brown, 54, of Bedford, died at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at his residence.
Born August 25, 1958 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of Elvis J. Brown Jr. and Doris (Beaulieu) Brown. He had previously worked at G.E. in Bloomington, Indiana. Steaven was an Ojibwe tribal member of the Red Lake Nation of Red Lake, Minnesota. He was a graduate of B.N.L. class of 1976, U.S. Army veteran and served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford.
Surviving are his companion, Ms. Bobbie Knight of Bedford; father, Elvis J. (Vickie) Brown Jr. of Mitchell; daughter, Lindsey (Zach) Terrell of Mitchell; two brothers, Charlie (Lisa) Brown of Bedford, Ed Brown of Bedford; sister, Dorene (Tony) Smith of Heltonville; two grandsons, Andrew and Lance Terrell of Mitchell and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elvis "Buster" and Marguettie Brown, Charles and Alice Beaulieu; mother, former wife, Lesa Beedie-Bell.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday May 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford, with military rites accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post 33 DAV Chapter 2. Friends may call from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.

Barbara Carolyn Johnson - Williams
Barbara Carolyn Johnson, 75, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born February 21, 1938, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Leland F. and Maude M. (Mitchell) Chapman. She married Lloyd Vernon Johnson June 30, 1956, and they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage in June. Barbara had been a nurse's aide at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and retired July 14, 2003, with 28 years of service. She graduated from Williams High School in 1956.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Johnson, Williams children, Sheryl (Jan) McBride, Bedford, Faron (Karen) Johnson, Bedford grandchildren, Michael Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Doug Johnson, and Nick Johnson
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alan L. Johnson; and daughter; Janice Marie Edwards.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at Port William Cemetery with Karen Johnson officiating.
Casketbearers: Faron Johnson, Doug Johnson, Nick Johnson, Michael Edwards, Matthew Edwards, and Jan McBride.
There will be no visitation at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
