Martin Dean Edwards - Mitchell
Martin Dean Edwards, 55, of Mitchell, passed away at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at his residence. He was surrounded by family and friends.
Born March 8, 1957, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ernest Rice and Betty Lavonne (Baldwin) Edwards. Martin married Marjorie Doreen Terry September 29, 1979. He was employed as a mechanic and machinist at Woolston Automotive, served in the U. S. Army, and was a member of the Spice Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen Edwards, of Mitchell; children, Coyle Bradley Edwards, of Paoli and Rachel Nicole Edwards, of Mitchell; mother, Betty Edwards, of Mitchell; grandchildren, Madison Sue McCauley and Jaysen Blayne Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Monte Dale Edwards; and sister, Debra
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 23, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Leslie Hart officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. The family will greet friends from noon until the service on Saturday.

Annetta Diehl - Bedford
Annetta Diehl, 98, of Bedford, passed away at 1:35 am on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Stone Bridge Health Campus.
Born May 4, 1914 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Roscoe C. and Ella (Trogdon) Chambers. She married Wilford W. Diehl on September 21, 1940 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1982. She was a school teacher at Needmore retiring in 1974. She was a member of Gulletts Creek Baptist Church and the Retired Teacher's Assoc.
Survivors include two sons, James Diehl and wife, Karen, of Bedford; Rick Diehl and wife, Elaine, of Fayetteville; a daughter, Beverly Wilson and husband, James, of Knightstown; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Morris and Winfred Chambers; a sister, Beulah Pennington and a grandson, Kirk Diehl.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to a church or charity of one's choice.

Chester Earl Anderson - Bedford
Chester Earl Anderson, 96, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford.
Born October 17, 1916, he was the son of Earl and Mellie (Henderson) Anderson. He married Shirleen Mollet on June 8, 1985 and she survives. He retired as a machine operator from General Motors and was a minister for 57years. He was a member of New Life Trinity Ministries and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Shirleen, of Bedford; four sons Jerry Anderson and wife, Betty; Darrell Anderson and wife, Pam; Ferrell Anderson and wife, Judy, all of Springville and Larry Anderson and wife Darnell of Bedford; four step- children, Jimmie Lee Mollet and wife, Debbie, of Bedford; Robert Scot Mollet, of Oolitic; Ronald E. Mollet and wife, Donna, of Florida and Linda K. Ketchum, of Danville, IL; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, his first wife, Lillian; one brother, Bill Anderson; six sisters, Edith Godsey, Wilma Baker, Georgia Phillips, Betty Rollins,
Helen Blake, Wanda Reuter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, February 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 pm to 8 pm on Friday, February 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
