Reverend Paul Louis Hoskins - Mitchell
Reverend Paul Louis Hoskins, 84, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:20 a.m. at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born June 11, 1927 in London, Kentucky, he was the son of Charlie and Martha (Tankersley) Hoskins.
He married Frances Ellen Duncan on June 21, 1947 in Salem and she survives. He received a Bachelor Degree from the Olivet Nazarene College. He was a Nazarene minister and served many area churches for 39 years. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife Frances, of Mitchell; two sons, Paul A. Hoskins, of Alburguerque, New Mexico, Roger and his wife Lisa Hoskins, of Heltonville; two daughters Karen Keith and Jim Pershing, of Bloomington, Carol and her husband Jay Troy, of Wilmington, DE., four grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Thelma Barnes, of Charleston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Mitchell with Rev. Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.

Marjorie C. Hunter - Avoca
Marjorie C. Hunter, 90, of Avoca, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, February, 9, 2012, at her home.
Born December 1, 1921 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ora and Elizabeth J. (Brewer) Turner. She married John F. Hunter on Nov. 1, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1966. She retired from M. Fine & Sons in Bedford. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church and the Missionary Quilting Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Hackett, of North Carolina, Mary White, of Williams; four grandchildren, Kevin White, of Williams, Kent White, of Bedford, Kelly White, of Shelbyville and April Crysel, of North Carolina; four great grandchildren, Timber Landstrom, Bryce and Brittany Umphress, Kelsey White; five great great grandchildren, Emma and Bella Landstrom, kameron and Makenna White and Hailey Bryant; one sister, Gwendolyn Turner of Avoca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Ed Hunter; four sisters, Betty Boyd, Beulah Mabbit, Ester Sherrow and Coletia Rollins; four brothers, George, Ray, Fred and Kenny Turner.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 12th at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
