The following obituaries were received on Tuesday.

Elmer R. Belcher - Bedford
Elmer R. Belcher of Bedford passed away on Sunday, January 30th at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital at the age of 88. Born in 1922 in Lawrence County to Sherman and Naomi Belcher, he had been married to Barbara Baughman since 1941, was retired from General Motors after 31 years, was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. He is survived by children, Rita Barrow, Robert Belcher and his wife Terri, Dale Belcher and his wife Leann and Anita Madding and her husband Jeff; brothers, Darrell Belcher , Charles Belcher and Don Belcher; sisters, Eva Pate, Mary Davis and Dorothy Marshall; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Jerry Belcher and one daughter, Donna Kay Hall. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, February 4th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday and from noon until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
