Steve W. Tillette I
Steve W. Tillette I, 52, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 in Salinas, California.
Born March 24, 1958 in Washington, Indiana, he was the son of Norman and Marie (Turner) Tillette. He married Lana Mounce on December 31, 1989, and she preceded him in death February 9th, 2006.
Survivors include companion Theresa Tincher; children, Sara, Steven and Kayla; a granddaughter; a sister and a brother. His parents proceeded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, April 8, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Pastor Don Laird officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetary.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday and from 9:00am until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Carl. M Gobin
Carl. M Gobin, 83, Mitchell, passed away at 11:23pm on Friday, April 2, 2010 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Born January 25, 1927 in Alton, Illinois, he was the son of Curtis L. and Anna Mae (Walls) Gobin. He married Virginia Lee (Stewart) Whalen on April 17, 1976.
Survivors include wife, Viriginia; step children, Nancy, David, Roberta and Jean; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His parents; granddaughter; brother, James; and sister, Mary preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 6th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley McCallum, Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Tim Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetary with military honors accorded at the graveside.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Monday and from 9:00am until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Steven M. Sorrells
Steven "Mike" Sorrells, 65, Bedford, passed away at 12:10pm on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born January 11, 1945, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Laverne and Helen Louise (Stroud) Sorrells. He married Dianna Sue Chapman on October 11, 1968.
He was an inspector for the Indiana State Board of Animal Heath Law Enforcement Division. Mike was a member of the last graduating class from Huron High School in 1963, and attended the Huron Church of God.
Survivors include wife, Sue; son, Darrin; brothers, Richard and Terry; mother in law, Edith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His parents; and brothers, Jerry and Ronald, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 7th, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Smooth officiating. Burial will be in Huron Cemetary.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday and from 9:00am until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
