Obituaries For Ralph E. Carter, 70, Bedford

Ralph E. Carter Bedford, known to friends and family as "Gene", passed away Friday morning, October 9th at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 70.

Born in 1938 in Lawrence County to parents Charles S. & Mahel (Sullivan) Carter, he had been married to Edna Penelope "Penny" Carter.

Ralph was retired from U.S. Gypsum Plant in Shoals. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Carter and Melanie Longest; three sons, Ralph Carter, Joshua Carter and Tyler Carter; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Lee Carter, Jimmy Carter and Larry Carter, as well as two sisters, Betty Mundy and Mary Carlor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Edward Carter and Bob Carter.

Funeral Sercives will be held on Wednesday, October 14th at 11:00AM at Cresthaven Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bryantsville Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, October 13th at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
