Douglas Overstreet of Bloomington, formerly of Bedford, passed away Thursday morning at Golden Living Center in Bloomington at the age of 57.
Born in 1951 in Laurel, Mississippi to Buford and Lorene Overstreet, Douglas was a cook at the Waffle House, Early Bird Restaurant and Pleaser's Restaurant all in Bedford, and member of the Guide Point Church and Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his companion Mellissa, daughters Tina and Rachel, sons Douglas and Michael, sisters Betty, Rose and Cathy, brother Mike, and 9 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Dive Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service at Day & Carter.
