Viola Nolan of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Bedford, passed away Monday evening at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge at the age of 87.
Born in 1920 in Indianapolis to Walter and Minnie Newbold, Viola was a cook at several places, the last of which being Bedford Nursing Home, was a member of Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford, Moose Auxiliary #689 in Bedford, VFW Auxiliary #1686 in Oolitic, and American Legion Auxiliary #163 of Eau Gallie, Florida.
She is survived by her son Robert, daughter Dianna, 10 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 son in infancy, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00am at Ferguson-Lee Haverly Chapel in Mitchell with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee Haverly Chapel.
