Obituaries For Rowena "Sue" Tarr, 74, Bedford

Rowena Tarr of Bedford, known to friends and family as "Sue," passed away Saturday evening at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem at the age of 74.

Born in 1933 in Oolitic to Frederick and Ruby Pritchett, Sue worked at Citizens Nation Bank and the State Employment Office becoming the first female claims deputy.

She is survived by her husband Bob, son Robert, sister Sherry, 2 grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jane and Claudia and brother Bud.

Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Clover Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 11:00 until time of service at Day & Carter.
