2:30 a.m. Martin County requested assistance from Williams and Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Departments at a house fire in the 23500 block of Misty Road.

2:18 a.m. Report of a tree across the roadway on Mundell Church and Back Creek roads. The County Highway Department was notified.

1:30 a.m. A man was attempting suicide with a rope in the 4100 block of Dixie Highway. A Seals ambulance and Marion VFD responded. The man was taken to IU Bloomington Hospital.

1:01 a.m. Report of a man walking on U.S. 50 East by Ferrel Gas. The man was walking from Cincinnati, Ohio to St. Louis, MO.

12:28 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle parking in a driveway on McIntrye Bottoms Road.

11:13 p.m. Report of a transformer buzzing at Springville Elementary School. Duke Energy was contacted.

9:24 p.m. Report of a fight in the 6000 block of Ind. 60 West. A 19-year-old man had battered his grandfather. The man was also armed with a knife. The man left in a red Eclipse. The caller did not want to file charges at this time, but would seek a protection order.

8:19 p.m. Report of a possible suicidal person in the 600 block of Ind. 60 West. The person was drunk and had ingested a bottle of asprine. A Seals ambulance and Marion VFD responded.

8:02 p.m. Report of a stray dog hurt in the 1500 block of Hollis Chastain Road.

7:53 p.m. IU Health Hospital emergency room employees reported they were treating a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. The incident happened on Back Creek Road.

7:49 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a resident after the caller reported they received a text message from the person and believed they may be suicidal. Officers checked on the man who says the caller took the text out of content. There was no problem.

6:19 p.m. Report of a suspicious person walking on Ind. 446 about two miles north of Heltonville. The man was given a ride to the Monroe County line.

5:53 p.m. A man was on station to report identity theft.

5:29 p.m. Report of a theft in the 2400 block of Ind. 60 West.

2:54 p.m. Report of a tree in the roadway on U.S. 50 West at Tincher Pond Road.

2:45 p.m. Report of horses out in the 400 block of Old Buddah Road.

2:45 p.m. Medical emergency in the 7400 block of Ind. 54 West. A woman had fallen. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marshall VFD responded.

2:30 p.m. Medical emergency in the 700 block of Ingram Road. A woman was suffering chest pains. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marshall VFD responded.

1:45 p.m. Report of a problem with stray cats in the 200 block of Old Farm Road.

12:35 p.m. Report that a mushroom hunter found a large amount of drug paraphernalia in the woods in the 3300 block of Ind. 450. The Drug Task Force was alerted.

12:06 p.m. A detective was at the Bedford North Lawrence High School investigating threats.

10:35 a.m. Disabled motorist at Ind. 37 and John Williams Boulevard.

10:12 a.m. A person was on station to report a burglary in the 130 block of East Street in Williams.

9:22 a.m. Medical emergency in the 7000 block of Ind. 54/58. An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marshall VFD responded.

9:20 a.m. Report of a possible fire, after the caller reported their home, in the 60 block of Farmer Street, was full of smoke. Shawswick, Oolitic and Marshall VFD responded. Firefighters were not on the scene very long.

8:55 a.m. Medical emergency in the 300 block of Liberty Bell Street. A Seals ambulance and Shawswick VFD responded.

8:40 a.m. A person was on station to report a civil dispute in the 1600 block of Old State Road Ind. 37.

8:36 a.m. Report of graffiti on the German American Bank. The message was written in chalk and is believed to be addressed to an inmate in the Lawrence County Jail.

5:59 a.m. Report of the theft of a 2000 red Honda 300 EX ATV. The caller reported hearing the vehicle started and then saw it leaving the property headed toward Ind. 58 where another vehicle was waiting.

9:23 p.m. Property damage accident on Ind. 37 at the Oolitic stoplight.

6:42 p.m. A woman reported her son had been involved in a property damage accident on Ind. 158 in Silverville.

3:30 p.m. Property damage accident on Coveyville Road, east of Guthrie Road.

7 a.m. Car/deer accident on U.S. 50 West, 4.4 miles west of Ind. 37.

6:49 p.m. Shawn Cole, 30, Orleans, driving while driver's license suspended and false or fictitious registration.

7:19 p.m. Amy Deavers, 36, 700 Woodhills Lane, expired license plate.

11:55 p.m. Daigan Rayhill, 18, Bedford, speeding.

10:45 a.m. Medical emergency at 13th and Main Street. A man was having possible heart problems. A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.

12:55 p.m. Brook Street between Fifth and Sixth streets was closed for repairs.

2:20 p.m. A caller reported her daughter was assaulted by her boyfriend. The caller reported she didn't know the address where her daughter was but did give police the phone number where her daughter had called from. Officers went to a home in the 1100 block of Tulip Street and were told the daughter had left and walking down the street. Police located the female and she was not injured. The female was taken to the police station where her mother picked her up.

2:40 p.m. A woman was on station to speak to an officer.

4:51 p.m. Report of possible animal cruelty in the 900 block of Ninth Street.

5:28 p.m. An employee at the Window Tint Shop reported a woman was in the shop and stole some items and cash.

5:56 p.m. A resident in the 100 block of Dale Street reported his wife had been battered by an elderly man down the street. A no trespass order was served and the woman did not want to pursue any criminal charges.

6:35 p.m. Police received two calls about 4-wheelers speeding down the roadway on Kelly Street. Police were unable to locate the 4-wheelers.

7:16 p.m. A woman in the 900 block of Wright Street reported her female Dachshund was missing. The dog was wearing a red colored collar.

7:31 p.m. Officers were at a home in the 300 block of Warren Street reference an investigation. There was no problem.

7:59 p.m. Police received an anonymous call reporting possible drug activity on West Main Street. Police found no problem.

9:12 p.m. A person was on station to report a phone scam.

9:52 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1000 block of Main Street. A woman was suffering chest pain. A Seals ambulance and Mitchell VFD responded.

10:37 p.m. 911 call hang up. Dispatch reported there was static on the line. Officers checked on the resident in the 900 block of Orchard Street. There was no problem. The phone problems were weather related.

11:18 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a 4-month-old baby at Persimmon Park Apartments. The caller reported the mother had been screaming at the child for at least two hours. When police arrived the child was asleep and okay.

April 29

12:21 a.m. A resident at Persimmon Park Apartments requested an officer and extra patrols because a man was coming in the hallway of her building and slamming the outside door when leaving. The caller reported the man was outside walking around the apartment buildings. She told police a resident had filed a protective order against the man.

1:25 a.m. A woman in the 300 block West Warren Street reported a man was knocking on her door. The man was found at the caller's neighbor house. The man told police he was going to a friend's home and thought they lived at the caller's home and knocked on the door by mistake. The home the man was looking for was next door.
